Intermediate Rider 2 Class (IRT2) Bring Your Own Bike

*License Waiver Course

Who Should Take This Class?

The Intermediate Rider Class 2 is designed for those with some riding experience and wish to build their skills and learn better control on their own bikeThis is a license waiver course.

This class is excellent for those who want to refresh their skills, especially after not riding all winter. After successful completion of both the written and riding tests, you will receive a Completion card which waives any further testing at your local Dept. of Licensing for your 2 wheeled endorsement!

Class Description:

Discussions are held in the classroom and between riding exercises on the range.  Topics include how to develop a better street survival strategy, the effects of aging on a rider, proper cornering techniques, traction management, passengers, cargo and so on.

Riding exercises include crossing over obstacles, limited space maneuvers, offset cone weaves, cornering, quick stops, swerves and more. Students use their own motorcycles which will be subject to a safety inspection and proof of liability insurance and ownership must be presented before the start of class. Although Washington State does not require insurance on motorcycles, Spokane MotorSchool requires each student have proof of current insurance during the class.

Each exercise and classroom segment must be completed with the class you are registered for in order to qualify for testing and a class completion card.

Please note: Your motorcycle will be starting and stopping the engine multiple times and operated at low speeds during this class.  Please ensure your battery is in good condition as well as your electrical system before class begins.  If you experience mechanical problems during the class and are unable to complete each exercise, you will need to re-register and take the entire class again to qualify for your endorsement.
